Site Manager, Location – Ahmedabad

Position Overview:

As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all on-site activities related to pre-engineered building construction projects. You will play a critical role in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position requires a strong leader with exceptional organizational and communication skills, as well as a thorough understanding of construction processes and safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the overall planning, scheduling, and execution of pre-engineered building construction projects from start to finish.
  2. Coordinate and supervise all on-site activities, including subcontractor management, material procurement, and equipment deployment.
  3. Ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards throughout the construction process.
  4. Monitor project progress, track key milestones, and take corrective actions as necessary to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
  5. Conduct regular site inspections to identify and resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during construction.
  6. Collaborate closely with the design and engineering teams to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation of project plans and specifications.
  7. Manage and motivate the on-site construction team, including foremen, contractors, and laborers, to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  8. Coordinate with external stakeholders, such as architects, engineers, consultants, and clients, to address project-related queries or concerns.
  9. Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including progress reports, work schedules, change orders, and safety records.
  10. Implement and enforce strict safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all on-site personnel.
  11. Monitor and control project costs, including labor, materials, and equipment, to ensure adherence to the allocated budget.
  12. Provide regular updates and reports on project status, budget, and issues to the project manager or senior management.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
  2. Proven experience as a Site Manager or Construction Project Manager in the pre-engineered building construction industry.
  3. Thorough knowledge of construction processes, building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
  4. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire on-site personnel to achieve project goals.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
  6. Exceptional organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
  7. Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
  8. Sound problem-solving and decision-making skills to address on-site issues and conflicts effectively.
  9. Strong focus on safety and adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
  10. Proficiency in using construction management software and tools for project planning and reporting.
