In PEB systems, the complete steel building package is delivered to site as a fully finished product. This includes the primary members, secondary members, cladding system, peb building and other components. Site erection is fast and simple as all the building components are fixed through nut and bolt connection as per the erection drawings. No site fabrication or welding is involved which results in significant savings in construction time and superior quality when compared to conventional steel construction. The PEB system is highly efficient in design due to the synergy between building components. Primary members are made of tapered, built-up sections, and secondary members from cold- rolled sections made of high- strength steel. High-strength steel is used. All structural elements are fully optimized by the proprietary computerized design program and hence there is a significant reduction in dead load reactions to the foundations.
Due to lower self weight, we estimate savings to be at least 5%. However if you compare with local method of using fixed bases versus pinned bases in PEB design, the saving would be in excess of 15% by PEB Company.
No. Wootz can provide a building of any size, from a small car park shed to a massive industrial complex, peb buildings , comprising thousands of square meters of covered area. However, for shipment, a minimum one-truck load would be economical.
Wootz can supply the complete steel portion including standard accessories. Accessories that are not manufactured by Wootz can be supplied as buyouts (e.g. roll-up doors, cranes, beams, etc.), and included in Wootz’s scope of supply. For mezzanine floors, Wootz will provide the steel framing and steel deck to receive an in-site concrete slab. If the flooring is of pre-cast concrete panels, Wootz will provide the floor-supported beams.
Yes. Since the building is site assembled by bolting, it is possible to dismantle and rebuild at a new location.
The cost-benefits have to be worked out on a case-by-case basis, which would depend on size, complexity, and distance to the new location.
